Naya Jeevan is happy to announce the launch of our Ramadan Calendar Campaign. Unilever, Hilal sweets & Allianz-EFU are generously sponsoring the calendars and 100% of the donated proceeds will be used towards 12 months of health coverage for children studying at partner NGO schools. The first 1500 children to be covered under the Naya Jeevan health plan under our Ramadan Calendar Campaign are in the flood-affected areas of Dir and Charsadda, Pakistan.

Participate in Naya Jeevan’s Global Ramadan Campaign and give your child a 30-day Ramadan calendar. Each calendar has 30 flaps (for each day of the month) and behind each flap, children will find a Ramadan teaching.

The calendars are also being placed in key outlets, restaurants and hotel rooms in Pakistan to raise funds for the above purpose. Some of our clients including Espresso Cafes in Pakistan have agreed to advertise and distribute these calendars on our behalf. You can find the calendars at all Espresso outlets; the purchase price can be redeemed against your Privilege card points or added to your bill.

Sponsoring a child in need can mean the difference between despair and hope. We want to raise $30/calendar and use the contributions to provide students in partner NGO-run schools in Pakistan with social protection through the Naya Jeevan health plan for 1 whole year. Please reach out to your social/professional/academic networks as well and inform them that for just $30 they can make a big difference in NGO-run school children's health and future life. Naya Jeevan is looking for 5 dynamic volunteers in all major cities e.g. Hong Kong, Melbourne, Singapore, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Dubai, Riyadh, Geneva, Oslo, London, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Atlanta, Boston, New York, Washington DC, Ann Arbor, Chicago, Cleveland, Austin, Dallas, Phoenix, Houston, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco who can assume the responsibility of distributing at least 30 calendars each within their networks.

Alternatively the volunteers can help distribute Ramadan calendars to at least 5 friends/family within their social/professional/academic networks and enlist each of them to reach out to another 5.

Our top volunteer/fundraiser through September 10, 2010 will be awarded an iPad and the next top 2 will both receive an iPod touch, all courtesy of Apple. You have to raise a minimum of $1500 (50 Calendars) to qualify. Who wants them? Winners will be publicly announced on September 15. Step up and be Counted!
